Disk Gazer will provide a lightweight package that offers on-the-fly measurement and analysis for the HDD transfer rates with support for location selection.
By being portable and not using the file system of the PC at all you can get a more true representation of the actual speed of the drive. You can select different block sizes and locations on the disk and create a graphical representation of the transfer rate of the sequential read of the drive. By doing things this way, you get an interesting look into the actual true performance of a drive and the ability to compare on to another.
Disk Gazer can report on Capacity, Block Size, Area Size, Location, and Transfer Rate.
