I am a Clinical Psychiatric Pharmacist. My first Mercedes was a 1963 190D (W110 Heckflosse) that I dragged out of the woods, got running and drove it for 5 years. Next I bought a 1972 280SE (W108) in 1982 and drove it as my every day driver till 2002 until there was just too much rust after 300,000 miles. In 2016 I purchased an almost perfect W123 (1984 300 Turbo diesel). It has earned two Silver Preservation Awards. In 2019 I purchased a W111 (1963 220SE Heckflosse) that is perfect in every way with 450,000 miles, one ownership, impeccable maintenance and repair records, totally restored in 2005. I also purchased a W108 (1971 280SE) in 2019 with only 35,000 miles also in excellent condition. |
